Recruit IU Indianapolis students

Ready to begin hiring Jags? IU Indianapolis is now using Handshake as our job board platform. All on-campus employment opportunities are posted here for students to view and to apply. Using our job board, you can:

  • Post available college work experiences to nearly 30,000 IU Indianapolis students enrolled in over 200 degree programs from both Indiana University and Purdue University.
  • Tailor job postings to target students of specific majors and class standings, as well as grade point averages.
  • Request application materials from students, including resumes, cover letters, unofficial transcripts, and writing samples, as well as review all student applications for positions.
  • Review and submit students' work-study authorization forms to hire students with work-study funding (on-campus and approved community work-study agencies only).

1. Set up an account

In order to post your positions for IU Indianapolis students or to receive applicant materials, you first need to have a Handshake profile. For your account to be created correctly within the job board, please use the button below to complete our office’s short account set up form.

2. Receive your invitation email

After you have submitted the Handshake account set-up form, please wait for an email invitation from our office. This email will include instructions for your account set-up, as well as the link you need to follow for correct association with your employer, which is either your division or office. You will receive your email within one to three business days from your submission.

3. Post your on-campus job

Once you have set up your Handshake account, you are ready to post your positions! Please follow our job posting tips below to ensure your positions are filtered the best way for students to locate them. You can also check out our additional hiring and recruitment resources. NOTE: All on-campus positions must include learning outcomes tied to the Profiles of Learning for Undergraduate Success.

Recruitment events

Have a lot of positions to fill? Consider signing up to attend the Part-Time Job Fair during the second week of the fall semester. This casual recruiting event is an opportunity for students to stop by and seek part-time jobs and connect with potential employers.
